Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 28, 2026
MediMemo is designed with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains how your data is handled when you use the application.
Medical Disclaimer
MediMemo is a personal tracking tool for your own record-keeping. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Do not rely on MediMemo for dosing decisions or reminders in any situation where a missed or incorrect dose could cause harm
- Always follow the instructions of your physician or pharmacist over anything shown in this app
- Reminders are best-effort and may not fire — they depend on your browser and device, and can be delayed or missed entirely
- Adherence statistics are estimates based on what you log and are for personal reference only
Your Data Stays on Your Device
All medicine schedules, intake logs, and analytics data are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). Your health data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server.
- No user accounts or authentication are required
- No data is sent to MediMemo servers (there are none)
- No cloud sync or remote database is used
- Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your MediMemo data
No Tracking or Telemetry
MediMemo does not include any analytics, advertising, or tracking systems.
- No cookies are set for tracking purposes
- No usage analytics or telemetry are collected
- No advertising networks or tracking pixels are present
- No personally identifiable information is collected or processed
Third-Party Network Requests
MediMemo bundles all dependencies (fonts, icons, charting library) locally within the application. No external CDN requests are made during normal usage.
The application makes zero network requests to third-party services. All assets are served from your device after the initial download, ensuring complete offline functionality and maximum privacy.
Data Exports
MediMemo allows you to export your data as a JSON file for backup or transfer purposes.
- Unencrypted exports contain your medicine names, dosages, schedules, and intake logs in plain text
- Encrypted exports use AES-GCM encryption with a password you choose — the password is never stored
- Exported files are saved to your device's local file system — you are responsible for securing them
- Sharing an unencrypted export file gives the recipient full access to your health data
Notifications
If you enable dose reminders, MediMemo uses the browser's Notification API to display local notifications. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and are not routed through any external push notification service.
Changes to This Policy
If MediMemo's data handling practices change, this page will be updated with the new date reflected above. Since MediMemo has no user accounts, there is no mechanism to notify you of changes — we recommend bookmarking this page if you wish to monitor updates.
